Modern Light
Modern Light combines the chandeliers and lamps with no obvious affiliation to the previous historical epochs. The basic rule of modern design style is synthesis, the combination of elements from different styles. Among these components are such directions as nouveau, art deco, minimalism, hi-tech, etc. Thus, modern lighting incorporates all the variety of combinations of styles of interior.
Modern and contemporary
These styles are identified as the same ones rather often, but it is not exactly correct. Modern and contemporary both have the same meaning – “present”, but modern is up-to-dateness of the beginning of the 20th century; contemporary is what we have today, in the 21st century, and can overwatch its development. It is enough to remember a few basic features for distinguishing these two styles and to follow them when selecting lighting fixtures.
Modern
- Lines – curvaceous, versatile, “alive”, graceful, spirited;
- Assymetry, use of natural motifs, harmony;
- Absence of sharp corners;
- Sober colors of natural neutral tones.
Contemporary
- Straight, clear lines;
- Minimum of decorations, utility and functionality are more preferable than appearance;
- Futurism of decorative elements, innovative approach.
Modern lighting combines new lighting technologies, use of advanced materials, continuous improvement of light control systems; it is everything that can be a material for engineering and light designers. Move away from stereotypical approach to lighting design, search for new bright forms and the ability to change the appearance without changing the whole device – it is already a reality, achieved by use of dynamic lighting capabilities of the equipment.
The main motto of this style – comfort, simplicity, functionality and affordability.
